This recipe was my absolute favourite sweet treat growing up, and still is! This was my great-grandma's recipe and is NOT for those watching their figure! The result is a very rich, very tasty bar cookie. The nuts and cherries are both optional, but give great variations to this recipe.

A rich gooey chilled cake that you can cut up into small portions. Pure heaven for anyone who loves chocolate! Be patient, for best results - you will need to chill overnight or for at least 8 hours.

When I was a little girl, I always looked forward to the end of dinner at a Chinese restaurant because I knew what was waiting for me--almond jelly! I was thrilled when I learned to make it at home. You can change the amount of liquid you add (either water or milk) to change the consistency of the jelly.

Most traditional recipes for crème caramel are made with a sugar-based caramel and a rich creamy custard. This fruity version uses apple juice, making it a much healthier but no less delicious option.
