This is a simple but very tasty home-style dish. It is best to use salted duck eggs to get a rich flavour. Make sure to steam the pork patty long enough that it's cooked through.
4 people made this
300 g pork, boneless and skinless (or buy minced pork)
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper powder
2 salted eggs, prefer salted duck egg
1 1/2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons dry cornstarch
1 1/2 tablespoons peanut oil
1/4 teaspoon MSG
Directions Prep:20min › Cook:40min › Ready in:1hr
Finely chop the pork into minced pork. Combine with the salt, MSG, 1 tablespoon salted egg white, and cornstarch. Add the peanut oil and mix well. Add a little bit of water and mix well. Shape the mixture to a flat cake and place on a heat-safe dish.
Place the egg yolks onto the pork patty and lightly spread the yolk. Steam the pork-egg mixture on the medium heat for at least 30 minutes until they are cooked thoroughly. Remove from the steamer.
Mix a little bit of the chicken stock with the soy sauce and drizzle over the patty. Serve immediately.
