English Hob Nob Oat Biscuits

About this recipe: A crunchy, oaty plain biscuit with a little golden syrup for extra flavour. Great for morning or afternoon tea.


Serves: 20 

  • 150g butter
  • 2/3 cup (150g) sugar
  • 11/2 tablespoons (30ml) milk
  • 1 teaspoon golden syrup
  • 1 teaspoon bicarb of soda
  • 1 1/4 cups (150g) self-raising flour
  • 120g rolled oats

  1. Preheat oven to 150 degrees C
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar. Mix in the milk, golden syrup and bicarb. Add flour and oats and mix well.
  3. Divide into 20 balls. Place onto a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Cool on wire rack.
