About this recipe: Easy and delicious drop biscuits with macadamia nuts and chocolate chips!


Serves: 36 

  • 115g butter, softened
  • 75g packed brown sugar
  • 65g white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 140g sifted plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon bi carb soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 135g macadamia nuts, chopped
  • 210g dark chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 190 degrees C. Lightly grease 2 large cookie trays with butter.
  2. Cream the butter and sugars together in a large bowl. Mix in the egg and vanilla essence until well blended. Sift together the flour, bi carb soda and salt; gradually blend into the mixture.
  3. Stir in the chopped macadamia nuts and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto the cookie trays; about 5 cm apart.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown. Remove from the oven and transfer the biscuits to cooling rack.
