Sweet Chilli Sauce

    Use this sauce for dipping fried or baked snacks such as Cucur Bawang, Chicken Wings etc.

    Makes: 1 serving

    • 3 fresh red chillies, deseeded and cut into rough slices
    • 3 shallots, chopped finely
    • 2 garlic cloves, chopped finely
    • 2 tbsp sugar
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1/2 cup thin tamarind juice

    1. Saute the shallots and garlic until fragrant, drain and set aside.
    2. Pound the red chillies to medium coarseness with the sugar.
    3. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, adding the tamarind juice, salt and stir until the sugar is all dissolved.
