Nam Chuam (Simple Syrup)

    Nam Chuam gets used in many fruit drinks as a sweetener, because that way you don't have to deal with all the sugar crystals clogging up your drink. (I know my measurements are a bit odd, but that's what I happened to make. As long as your ratio of sugar to water stays 1:1, you can make any amount you wish.)

    Makes: 3 and 1/2 cups syrup

    • 2.5 cups sugar
    • 2.5 cups water

    Prep:1min  ›  Cook:4min  ›  Ready in:5min 

    1. In a medium sized pot bring to boil over medium heat the sugar and water.
    2. Boil gently for a minute.
    3. Let cool completely and store in a bottle in the refrigerator for a month.
