About this recipe: I kept trying to duplicate the delicious Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette from TGI Fridays(R). This is very very close.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 12

    • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
    • 1 small onion, chopped
    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
    • 3 tablespoons honey
    • 1 tablespoon white sugar
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
    • 2/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil

    Directions
    Prep:15min  ›  Ready in:15min

    1. Place the vinegar, onion, soy sauce, honey, sugar, garlic, and red pepper flakes into a blender. Puree on high, gradually adding the olive oil. Continue pureeing 2 minutes, or until thick.

This is the best dressing - it's absolutely perfect as-is. My favorite salad to put it on is the Pecan Crusted Chicken Salad by Lianad on this site. Thanks for sharing you're hard work sleuthing the recipe!  -  19 May 2009  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

I loved this, but one of my guests thought it was too strong. I would probably add a bit more oil next time to dilute it a bit.  -  16 May 2009  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

In a word - delicious! I've never had the honey balsamic dressing from TGI Friday's but if this is it or even close I'm glad I gave it a try. I put all the ingredients into a mini food processor and let it go. The only thing I did was to use a low sodium soy sauce and if I want to change this up I would add a little dijon mustard.  -  03 Mar 2010  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
