Pork belly in dark sauce

    Let the marinade do the work! This is essentially a one-ingredient dish. Tastes great with rice.

    • 400g pork belly, chopped
    • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
    • A dash of pepper
    • 1 tsp sesame oil
    • 1 tsp light soy sauce
    • 3 tsp brown sugar
    • 2 tbsp garlic, chopped


    1. Marinate the pork belly in dark soy sauce, pepper, sesame oil, light soy sauce and brown sugar for 1 hour.
    2. Fry garlic under medium heat until it starts to brown. Add in the pork belly and its sauce and fry until the sauce dries up and the pork becomes slightly sticky. Serve.
