Fried pomfret

    This dish tastes good if the fish is fresh. Criss-cross cuts need to be made if the fish is too large so that it will cook evenly.

    • 1 silver pomfret
    • A few slices ginger
    • 1 tbsp light sauce


    1. Make several criss-cross cuts on the pomfret. Next, stuff a few slices of ginger into the fish cavity.
    2. In a hot oiled pan, fry a few slices of ginger until fragrant and browned. Add in the silver pomfret and fry under medium heat until it is golden. Drizzle light sauce on it and flip to the other side. Fry until golden again and serve.
