I started making this dish a few years ago after apple picking with my children. I was looking for something different to do with some of the apples and this turned out to be delicious! We all enjoy it and hope your family does too.

A yummy twist on the old fashioned toasted cheese sandwich. My aunt used to make these for me for lunch when I spent the summers with her.

A very typical Nonya dish, there are many variations to this recipe. You can add belacan (shrimp paste), candlenuts, red chillies or omit the tamarind. It's up to you.

This Nonya braised pork dish is delicious eaten with rice. It also tastes good the next day when all the flavours have melded together. I also use the leftover meat and sauce for a sandwich using a baguette and garnish it with some chopped cilantro, tomatoes and cucumber. Yummy!

Literally this dish means pork bone tea. The spices made up of star anise, cinnamon, peppercorns, etc. are indeed an herbally concoction so the name is not far from the truth. You can also add dried mushrooms to the soup if you'd like.

This crepe is crispy and delectable with pork and shrimp bits in it. It gets wrapped in lettuce and herbs and dipped into nuoc cham. It's a very light feeling and satisfying dish.

This is an excellent dish for a summer barbecue party. Prepare the ribs in advance, and when your guests have arrived, finish them off on the barbecue. You'll have them wondering how they got so tender and tasty so fast.

This is a favorite Filipino vegetable dish although the slightly bitter taste of bitter melon needs a lot of getting used too. Cooking it this way lightens the bitter taste.

An excellent chunky pasta sauce with beef, pork, lots of vegetables and tons of flavor. Freeze any unused portions for later use. If you have fresh herbs, you may substitute 2 teaspoons chopped fresh italian basil for the dried Italian basil in this recipe.

This is a healthy dish for breakfast. It can be used as a filling for an omelette or just add scrambled eggs to it for breakfast. Use only the needed portion and save the rest for up to a week in the refrigerator. Easy to prepare.

This succulent dish is excellent served for dinner. If possible, the flavor is best when the pork is marinated overnight. Serve this dish with sauteed pak boong (water spinach) or steamed kailan and jasmine rice.
