This is a delicious dish you that is impressive enough to serve at dinner parties but simple enough to make for your family. Tender lamb steaks combine beautifully with the flavours of cumin, spinach, creamy potato and sweet red wine sauce.

This enticing curry is warmly spiced rather than fiery hot with chillies. Serve it with basmati rice, chapattis or wholemeal pita breads and a fresh tomato and cucumber salsa for a healthy Indian-style meal.

This dish is typical of Greek cuisine – rustic but wonderfully flavoured. This dish is similar to moussaka, but with the addition of pasta.

Exceptionally flavourful, lamb is a super source of niacin and zinc. Like all the other types of red meat, it also supplies a useful amount of iron.

Pieces of lamb are marinated in garlic, oil, and red wine vinegar, then threaded on rosemary skewers and barbecued. A creamy, herby sauce of Greek yoghurt, fresh mint, oregano and parsley complement these kebabs nicely!

These little meatballs, made from a mixture of minced lamb and rice, flavoured with thyme, lemon and nutmeg, are grilled on cocktail sticks with vegetables for easy eating. The classic Greek egg and lemon dipping sauce has a tangy flavour, which is a perfect partner for the meatball kebabs.

This is simply gorgeous because it's so comforting! Preparation is easy, too! The lamb shanks are slow-cooked in a generous amount of red wine. This is best served with the sauce juices poured over mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, risotto or even soft polenta.

Hearty and traditional Irish lamb stew. It's best to refrigerate the stew overnight, and reheat it the next day for eating. This soup 'ages' well!

Serve with rice or chapati or naan for a quick Indian dinner. You can add vegetables and also use it as a filling for pies or samosas.

Inspired by the Korean beef ribs my grandfather always made for special occasions. Have your butcher trim, split, and debone a whole leg of lamb for you. Make the marinade (which is also good on ribs, steak or pork) and marinate overnight. Barbecue the meat to your taste and then slice to serve. We like it wrapped in flour tortillas or Lebanese bread with chopped lettuce.

A spicy, low-fat and very satisfying curry that combines lots of vegetables with lean, tender lamb chunks and lentils. Serve with wholemeal chappatis or naan.

The title may sound flash but this recipe for lamb chops is an easy and quick dinner for two people (we eat two chops each). Rosemary and thyme give it great flavor. If you double the recipe, remember that the sauce will take longer to reduce.
