This a fun and simple dessert to make. Kids especially love it as the banana and coconut come together to create a crowd pleaser.

This is the treat my children love to make themselves after a good term at school or when they have a friend staying. One cake is big enough to share between 2 children if you can convince them of it!!!

When I was a little girl, I always looked forward to the end of dinner at a Chinese restaurant because I knew what was waiting for me--almond jelly! I was thrilled when I learned to make it at home. You can change the amount of liquid you add (either water or milk) to change the consistency of the jelly.

This is the classic Italian almond macaroon. When first baked they are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. As they sit, they get crunchy throughout. Delicious with any fruit dessert.

Most traditional recipes for crème caramel are made with a sugar-based caramel and a rich creamy custard. This fruity version uses apple juice, making it a much healthier but no less delicious option.

After trying my hand at countless sesame cookie recipes, my Italian girlfriend shared her Aunt Anne's recipe and I knew my search had ended! Basically an anise flavoured butter cookie covered in sesame seeds. The smell when removing them from the oven is wonderful!

This is simple treat using a baby banana called "gluay nam wa" in Thailand. If unavailable, you can use larger bananas. Also this recipe uses hydrolyzed lime water to soak and firm up the bananas prior to cooking. This step can be left out, but the bananas may be mushy.

This was a dessert/beverage experiment my boyfriend and I came up with. It's so good! Cream and sugar can be added to taste, if desired.

One of the most popular snack fruits, apples supply vitamin C as well as some potassium. Eat the peel to get the full measure of fibre. Pears are also a good source of fibre.

This started off to be a cake but ended up as a delicious old fashioned pudding that you could eat cold or hot. Tastes even better 24 hours later. Old brown bananas go best in this pudding and you can substitute brandy or milk for the rum.
