This is the treat my children love to make themselves after a good term at school or when they have a friend staying. One cake is big enough to share between 2 children if you can convince them of it!!!

This Indian dish combines fresh spinach and ricotta in a creamy curry. Use paneer if it's easy to find. It is absolutely wonderful with basmati rice or naan.

This dish melts in your mouth. The credit goes to my future mother-in-law. Each fillet should be approximately 2.5cm thick.

A delicious low-fat muffin. Children love them, and it's a great way to get them eating wholemeal. If desired, add sultanas or some chopped nuts.

Apple purée and cinnamon add a sweet and moist variation to the classic batter of milk, eggs and sugar. An unusual but delicious idea for kid's brunch or Christmas morning, especially if you substitute brioche for the bread.

This was a dessert/beverage experiment my boyfriend and I came up with. It's so good! Cream and sugar can be added to taste, if desired.

When I get fresh asparagus in season I don't want their flavour to be totally smothered. Here I just bake them in the oven and then dress them with a soya sauce, butter and balsamic dressing.

This banana smoothie is a lovely drink on a nice summer day. This is an especially healthy drink to serve at children's parties as an alternative to other sugary drinks.

To be totally honest, I didn't think this recipe was going to turn out :-) I have never added fruit to to my yoghurt maker before. When I tasted it, it was really thick, creamy and delicious! Very healthy, and what kid doesn't love bananas! A great way to get more fruit into your child.

Just like the title says - a delicious pavlova topped with banana slices, caramel sauce and whipped cream. The perfect combination of two very yummy desserts making one that will have you making it over and over again.

This banana and caramel tart is well worth the wait and requires little actual prep time. I like to use Marie or Shredded Wheatmeal biscuits but just about any sweet plain biscuit works well.
