Orange meatballs

    This is a good dish to cook and the orange smell makes the meatball taste more refreshing. More orange juice can be added to give it more taste.

    • 450g minced pork
    • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    • 1 tsp cornflour
    • A dash of pepper
    • A pinch of salt
    • 350g Water chestnut, peeled and diced
    • 2 tbsp orange juice
    • 1 spring onion, chopped
    • 1 egg white
    • ½ cup breadcrumbs


    1. Marinate the minced pork with light soy sauce, sesame oil, cornflour, pepper and salt for about 30 minutes.
    2. Mix the minced pork with water chestnuts, orange juice, spring onions and egg white to combine well.
    3. Form into 16 balls and roll in breadcrumbs.
    4. Deep-fry until golden brown. Serve.
