About this recipe: The trick to this dish is in buying a good piece of lotus root. It must not be too old, if not there would not be any bite to it.

  • 2500 ml water
  • 400g pork ribs
  • 500g lotus root, sliced
  • A handful of peanuts
  • 1 tbsp wolfberries


  1. Boil the water in a large pot. Once the water has boiled, add the pork ribs, lotus root, peanuts and wolfberries. Turn the heat to low. Cook for 1 hour. Serve.
