Breaded pork chops (two ways)

    In this dish, half of the pork chops is cooked with plain biscuit crumbs and the other half is cooked with breadcrumbs. They are both really delicious!

    • 300g pork shoulder, deboned
    • 3 tsp light soy sauce
    • ½ tsp sesame oil
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • 1 tbsp cornflour
    • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
    • 20 pieces Meiji plain biscuits, crushed
    • 2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)


    1. Use the blunt side of the knife to pound the meat. Turn the pork 90 degrees and pound it again the other way. Pound the meat until it is flat. Cut into 10 smaller pieces
    2. Marinate the pork slices in light soy sauce and sesame oil for about 2 hours.
    3. Mix the egg and cornflour in a small bowl. Dip 5 pieces of pork into the egg mixture and then cover in breadcrumbs. Dip the other 5 pieces in egg and then in crushed Meiji biscuits until well coated.
    4. Deep-fry in a deep fryer until golden brown. Serve with mayonnaise if desired.
