Yati's fried rice

    This is a very delicious dish that is usually eaten at lunch or dinner. Leftover rice can be used to cook this dish.

    • 1 big onion, sliced
    • 200 g prawns, shelled
    • 75 g mixed vegetables
    • 3 sticks crabmeat, sliced
    • 2 sausages, sliced
    • 500g rice, cooked
    • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
    • A pinch of salt
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • Chili for garnish
    • Cilantro for garnish


    1. In a hot oiled pan, fry the onion under medium heat until slightly translucent. Add the prawns and stir-fry until pink.
    2. Add the mixed vegetables, crabmeat and sausages. Continue to stir-fry for 30 seconds.
    3. Add in the rice and mix well to separate the rice grains from each other. Once the rice is mixed with the rest of the ingredients, add light soy sauce and salt to taste. Remove from heat and plate.
    4. In another oiled frying pan, pour beaten egg into pan and allow it to cook until the base it set. Flip gently over and allow it to cook on the other side until golden.
    5. Remove the egg and use a pair of scissors to cut into thin long strips. Garnish the fried rice with egg, cilantro and chili. Serve.
