Black pepper char siew

    This is char siew or roast pork in dialect but spiced up with black pepper. Very simple recipe with short marination time.

    Serves: 5 

    • 500g pork shoulder, sliced
    • 2 tbsp char siew sauce
    • a dash of black pepper
    • 3 tbsp oil

    Prep:30min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:45min 

    1. Marinate the pork shoulder slices in char siew sauce and black pepper for about 30 minutes.
    2. Oil the frying pan and pan-fry the pork slices under medium heat until the marinade has mostly dried out and the meat is sticky. Serve.
