Easy steamed egg with tofu

    This recipe is credited to Uncle Keith. This is a very simple steamed egg recipe made with an electric steamer.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 pack firm tofu, cut into small 1cm wide cubes
    • 3 eggs, beaten
    • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
    • 2 dried mushrooms, soaked until soft, sliced
    • 5 prawns, shelled, cut into thirds

    1. In a bowl mix tofu, eggs and light soy sauce together.
    2. Place the bowl in an electric steamer and steam for 15 minutes.
    3. Sprinkle the mushroom and prawns onto the egg and tofu and allow it to steam for another 5 minutes.
    4. Turn off the heat and allow it to cook with its own heat in the steamer for another 20-25 minutes. Serve.
