Stir-fried bittergourd with egg

About this recipe: This dish is really delicious as the bittergourd and egg taste good together.

Serves: 5 

  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • a handful of dried shrimps
  • 500g bittergourd, sliced
  • ½ cup water
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 egg, beaten

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min 

  1. In a pan, fry the garlic and dried shrimps under medium heat until it starts to brown.
  2. Add the bittergourd and mix. Cover the pan and allow it to sit for about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Remove the lid and add water and salt. Stir-fry for about 1 minute.
  4. Turn off the heat and drizzle the beaten egg over. Mix well so that the egg gets cooked by the residual heat of the pan. Serve.
