Steamed lotus root and pork balls

About this recipe: This is a very tasty dish that goes well when served with rice.

Serves: 5 

  • 200g lotus root, cleaned and diced
  • 300g minced pork
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Prep:10min  ›  Cook:25min  ›  Ready in:35min 

  1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Shape into 6-8 balls.
  2. Fill a large wok 1/3 full with water and boil under high heat. While the water starts to boil, place the balls on a large plate and steam it for about 10-15 minutes. Check that it is cooked by poking it with a fork; if the fork comes out easily, it is cooked. Serve.
