Oriental Ginger Chicken

    This simple yet easy ginger chicken will surely win anyone's heart and, is a favourite among kids. You can never stop them from coming back for more.

    Serves: 6 

    • 1 whole chicken (cut into small pcs)
    • 6 large clove garlic
    • 1 large red onion
    • 6 inch fresh garlic (sliced finely into tiny long pcs)
    • approx 4 tablespoons oyster sauce (adjust to taste)
    • approx 2 tablespoons dark caramel sauce (adjust to taste)
    • a dash of sesame oil
    • oil & water

    1. Clean chicken and set aside.
    2. Blend garlic and onion into a paste.
    3. Heat up oil in wok, between small - medium fire.
    4. Fry blended paste for 2 minutes.
    5. Add in sliced ginger and fry for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
    6. Place chicken pieces in and mix well with fried ingredients in the wok.
    7. Add some water for gravy. Cover to simmer.
    8. After 5 minutes, add oyster sauce in. Stir and cover to simmer.
    9. 10 minutes thereafter, add dark caramel sauce in. Stir and cover to simmer.
    10. Cook well. Add a dash of sesame oil in. Season to taste, as preferred.
