    About this recipe: this has been a beloved winter warmer for generations. mutton can also be used instead of chicken. enjoy!

    Ingredients
    Serves: 5 

    • 1 litre chicken stock
    • to taste salt
    • 2 - 3 pieces cloves
    • 6 - 8 pieces black pepper corn
    • 1 small cinnamon
    • 1 tsp coriander seeds
    • 1 tbsp roughly cut ginger
    • 2 medium roughly cut tomatoes
    • 1 tbsp roughly chopped coriander
    • for garnish coriander

    Prep:1hr  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Extra time:1hr55min soaking  ›  Ready in:3hr10min 

    1. in a sauce pan bring the chicken stock to a boil.
    2. add all the remaining ingredients and cook for 10 - 12 minutes.
    3. strain and serve garnishing with coriander.
