    About this recipe: Tempeh is a great source of protein for vegans. Here's an easy recipe to have as an appetiser, snack or sides to a rice dish. The tempeh is marinated and cooked in whole blocks then slice it to your preference.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 8 

    • 2 blocks tempeh
    • 1½ teaspoon turmeric powder
    • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
    • ½ teaspoon fennel powder
    • ½ teaspoon chilli powder
    • a pinch of sugar
    • salt to taste
    • 2 teaspoons water
    • oil for frying

    Directions
    Prep:15min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:25min 

    1. Make a paste with all the spices, salt, sugar and water added together. Rub all over the tempeh and leave to marinate for 15 minutes.
    2. Heat oil in pan and fry tempeh until brown on both sides. Slice and serve.
