Chinese Stir-fry Tofu, Cabbage and Tomatoes

About this recipe: Tofu and cabbage are important ingredients in the Chinese diet. They are used in a great variety of Chinese cuisine. This light yet full-flavoured dish is delicious. Omit the chicken granules to make this a vegetarian dish.


Serves: 3 

  • 100 g dried tofu
  • 1 whole Chinese cabbage
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 stalk spring onion
  • Salt, soy sauce, sugar, chicken stock granules to taste

  1. Wash the cabbage and tear into bite-sized pieces. Cut the dried tofu into thick slices. Peel the tomatoes and cut into small pieces. Cut the spring onion into short sections.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoon cooking oil in a frying pan or wok. Add the tofu slices and brown both sides. Add the cabbage and stir. Season with soy sauce and taste.
  3. Add the tomatoes and stir-fry until the liquid is released. Add the spring onion and season with salt, sugar, and chicken granules. Transfer to a dish and serve.
