Bloody Mary mix

    This is a handy mix that can be made ahead of time. Just add to a glass of vodka and ice, and garnish with celery sticks and slices of lemon. It can also be drunk without alcohol as a Virgin Mary. Try at your next brunch or party.

    Serves: 12 

    • 1 (46 fluid ounce) bottle tomato juice
    • 20 g celery salt
    • 3 g ground black pepper
    • 45 ml Worcestershire sauce
    • 8 ml hot pepper sauce (e.g. Tabasco™)

    1. Combine all ingredients in a large bottle or jug. Secure the lid and shake, or stir to mix until well blended. Store in the refrigerator for up to one week.

    Boy did this ever hit the spot - I added a little horseradish and some minced garlic (got that little tip from Martha Stewart). This is much better than buying store bought mix.
