About this recipe:This chai tea is hot, spicy, and comforting. Add slices of fresh ginger for more bite and taste.
250ml (1 cup) water
1½ teaspoons caster sugar or honey
1 whole cardamom pod
1 cinnamon stick
1 whole clove
2 black peppercorns
2 teaspoons black tea leaves
125ml (1/2 cup) warm milk

Combine the water and sugar in a small saucepan, and bring to a boil. Add the cardamom pod, cinnamon, clove, peppercorns and tea leaves. Remove from heat, and let the mixture steep for 2 to 3 minutes. Strain into a cup, and fill cup the rest of the way with milk. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!
