About this recipe: I bought a similar spread at the supermarket awhile back, and I thought that I could do it better and cheaper myself. I use canned artichoke hearts, though you can buy fresh artichokes and cook them yourself.


Serves: 12 

  • 3 canned artichoke hearts, quartered
  • 125g crab meat
  • 3 spring onions,chopped
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 400g cream cheese, softened

  1. Place artichoke hearts, crab, spring onions, garlic and lemon juice in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Add cream cheese and pulse until smooth.
  2. Put dip into a non-metallic bowl, and chill for 1 hour.
  3. Serve with crackers or crunchy vegetables.
