    About this recipe: These are light fluffy melt-in-your-mouth scones. The fizzy lemonade gives them a lift. Great beginner recipe that children can make too. Serve warm with jam and clotted or whipped cream.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 8 

    • 450g self-raising four
    • ½ tsp salt
    • 150ml cream
    • 165ml lemonade

    Directions
    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:25min 

    1. Preheat oven to 220 degrees C.
    2. Sift flour and salt into a large mixing bowl.
    3. Stir in wet ingredients and mix into a dough.
    4. Tip out onto a well floured surface and cut out scones with a 6cm fluted edge pastry cutter.
    5. Bake for 15 - 20 minutes until they are golden on top.
    6. Cool on a wire rack.
    7. Serve warm with jam and whipped cream.
