10 dried chillies, soaked in water and seeds removed
6 shallots
2 garlic cloves
10 gm dried shrimps, soaked in water
5 daun kesum, torn (optional)
1/2 cup tamarind juice
pinch of sugar
salt and pepper to taste
oil for cooking

Put reconstituted dried chillies, shallots and garlic in blender and grind until a fine paste. Chop the dried shrimp to medium coarseness.
Heat oil in pan and fry the chilli paste until fragrant. Add the dried shrimp, daun kesum and stir.
Add the tamarind juice and stir for about 3 minutes. Add the okra and quickly stir until combined. Season with sugar, salt and pepper according to taste.
