Quick and Easy Taco Dip

    This is a quick and easy taco dip that everyone is sure to love!! Better make a double batch, because this will go quickly! Increase the amount of salsa as desired.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 20 servings

    • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
    • 3/4 teaspoon taco seasoning mix
    • 1/3 cup salsa
    • 1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese

    Directions
    Prep:10min  ›  Extra time:1hr chilling  ›  Ready in:1hr10min 

    1. In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, taco seasoning mix and salsa. Spread the mixture into a shallow serving dish or an 8 inch baking pan. Top with Cheddar cheese. Chill in the refrigerator approximately 1 hour before serving.

    I added 8 oz sour cream to this and doubled the salsa. It turned out good, except I added too much taco seasoning for my taste. Everyone ate it up, so I guess it wasn't too strong for my guests. Next time I'll go easier on the seasoning.  -  21 Jul 2003  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

    This was an absolute hit at my work. I normally have to make double because it goes so fast. You can also use low-fat or fat-free cream cheese. It doesn't change the taste.... and those that refuse to eat low-fat will never know!  -  28 Feb 2003  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
