This is an easy, delicious spread that adults and kids love. It's a staple at my family's parties, showers, and luncheons. Spread on white sandwich bread or party rolls (or serve with crackers or plain pita chips).
Use low fat mayonnaise and Neufchatel cream cheese to reduce fat and calories. Splurge on more expensive brands of canned asparagus to get more tips and fewer stems.
I decided to try this dip just as a prelude to the lasagna. It was really good. My cajun roots are prominent so I had to add a little bit of seasoning, just a pinch of red pepper, made it even better. It's a very mild and interesting flavor. I had it with crackers, Fritos Scoops, and everyone prferred the Scoops for the hint of salt. - 20 Mar 2009 (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
This was really good. I had to use minced garlic in place of the onion. Very simple to make and delicious to taste. - 20 Mar 2009 (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
I used FF cream cheese, organic almonds and low-fat mayonnaise. I also added 1 tsp. of Trader Joe's 21 Seasoning Salute. Off the charts yummy. I spread a few thin smears on cukes for me and spread it on bread with ham to make sandwiches for the kids. HUGE hit. This is SO a keeper. It really was off the charts yummy. NOTE: I bet this would be good with jarred artichoke hearts, too. - 17 Jul 2010 (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
