Pineapple and Banana Smoothie

    A gorgeous and indulgent smoothie, but totally healthy!

    Serves: 1 

    • 4 ice cubes
    • 1/4 fresh peeled pineapple, cut into chunks
    • 1 large banana
    • 250ml pineapple juice (or orange juice or whatever you have handy)

    Prep:5min  ›  Ready in:5min 

    1. Place ice cubes, pineapple, banana and choice of fruit juice into the bowl of a blender. Blend on high speed until until smooth.
    2. Pour into a large glass and drink through a straw - bliss!

    This smoothie is excellent and very tasty. Notation: you can add natural canned pineapple as well when you are short on time i tried it w/canned pineapple as well it was tasty also.  -  26 Jan 2008  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)


    This was a nice change from your typical "strawberry, banana" smoothies. I cut the unsweetened pineapple juice back to 1/2 c. and used 1/2 c. of plain yogurt. With all the smoothie recipes I try from this site I always add ground flaxseed and soy protein powder. This was refreshing.  -  08 Feb 2008  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
