Easy Cheddar Biscuits with Fresh Herbs

About this recipe: These are great with a hearty meal like stew. Substitute parsley or basil for rosemary, if you like.


Serves: 16 

  • 275 g all-purpose baking mix
  • 70 g shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 60 g sour cream
  • 30 ml Dijon mustard
  • 80 ml milk
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together baking mix, cheese, and rosemary.
  3. In a separate bowl, stir together sour cream, mustard, and milk. Stir wet mixture into dry mixture until well combined. Drop dough in 2-inch rounds onto a baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  4. Bake in preheated oven 12 to 15 minutes. Serve warm.
