About this recipe: A tasty chicken dish in tomato and liver spread sauce with a dash of spice.

Aaarez National Capital Region, Philippines

Serves: 6 

  • 1 kg Chicken
  • 1 can (230 g.) Liver spread
  • 1 can (390 g.) Tomato sauce
  • 3 bulbs Onions, minced
  • 1 head Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup Bread crumbs
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 or 2 Chili peppers, minced
  • 2 cups Cooking oil
  • Salt to taste

  1. Cut chicken into serving pieces then fry in a deep pan until slightly brown, set aside.
  2. Saute garlic and onions, set aside.
  3. In a casserole, bring to a boil the chicken broth, then add the sauteed garlic & onions and the slightly fried chicken. Let boil for about 10 minutes.
  4. Add the tomato sauce, liver spread, bread crumbs and chili peppers. Boil for another 10 minutes. Salt to taste.

Serving suggestion

Serve with streaming white or brown rice.
