This is a great drink if you are feeling under the weather, especially if you have a cough or sore throat. Finish the hot drink with a teaspoon of honey to soothe your throat.

    1. Wash the orange, peel the skin and slice. Peel the skin off the ginger and wash the slices, too. Clean the dried jujubes with a wet paper towel. Cut in half and remove the seed out.
    2. Boil the ginger root, the orange skin and the dried jujubes with 12 cups (3 litres) water for 40 minutes over the medium high heat. Lower the heat to medium and boil another 20 minutes. Reduce the liquid to 4 cups. Drink with a teaspoon honey. This drink will help reduce a cough.
