Quick and Easy Kailan in Oyster Sauce
Kailan is one of my favorite vegetables and this preparation is super easy to make at home. Substitute any other vegetable like pek cai or choy sum.

500g kailan, trimmed
2 to 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil
- Bring a large pot of water to boil. Blanch the kailan for 3 to 4 minutes until crisp-tender. Do not overcook!
- Drain well and arrange on a serving platter. Drizzle with oyster sauce and sesame oil. Sprinkle with fried shallots and garlic. Serve immediately.
Steam the kailan in the microwave for 3 to 4 minutes. All microwaves are different so you'd have to experiment a couple times to get it just right.
