Yachae Sanjuk (Vegetable Skewer)

    These are delicious little Korean vegetable skewers that are great for a snack, starter or a side dish for your meal.

    Serves: 4 

    • 2 Pine mushrooms
    • 10 green beans
    • 10 green onions (cut in half lengthwise)
    • 2 medium carrots
    • 10 imitation crab sticks (short one)
    • 1 yellow capsicum
    • 20 toothpicks
    • ½ cup plain flour
    • 3 eggs
    • ½ teaspoon salt

    1. Cut the vegetables so they look like wooden chopsticks only 3.5cm (1.5 inch) long.
    2. Cut green onions from white part 3.5cm (1.5 inch) long.
    3. Put the mushrooms, green beans, yellow pepper, carrot, green onion and crab stick on a toothpick.
    4. Sprinkle with salt lightly.
    5. Coat with flour and dip in beaten eggs with ½ teaspoon salt.
    6. Pan fry a few of them with a few drops of oil.
    7. You may dip in soya sauce or ketchup.
