Fried Rice with Peppers and Beef

    In making this fried rice it is important to use the cold cooked rice and separate the rice into granules. To add color to the dish, use red capsicum and green capsicum. Cooked beef will save time.

    Serves: 3 

    • 150 gram cooked beef
    • 50 gram green capsicum
    • 50 gram red capsicum
    • 50 gram onion
    • 25 ml vegetable oil
    • 1 egg
    • 300 gram cold rice
    • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
    • 1 teaspoon salt

    1. Dice the beef. Clean and dice the peppers. Peel onion and dice. Scramble the egg.
    2. Preheat wok, add oil and turn up heat to medium hot. Add eggs and fry until solid, then transfer to a plate. Add beef, onion, peppers and stir fry. Add salt, soy sauce and stir well. Add fried eggs and cold rice, then stir fry. When rice becomes hot it is ready to be served.
