About this recipe: This is a slightly different take on the traditional Thai steamed pumpkin cake. You simply need to grate the pumpkin and mix all the ingredients together, place in a pan and steam. You can cool the cake and cut it into squares to serve at a later time - it is the perfect snack!

See http://allrecipes.asia/recipe/1547/chinese-steamed-cake.aspx. It details how to steam a cake in a tin using a large bamboo steamer. Hope that helps. - 25 Apr 2010
