Sweetened bananas in coconut milk

    This dessert is simple but very delicious for the banana lover. Bananas are simply cooked in a mixture of coconut milk and coconut cream to create a luscious treat.

    Serves: 6 

    • 10 mini bananas, or 4 large bananas
    • 250ml (1 cup) coconut milk
    • 200g sugar
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 125ml (1/2 cup) coconut cream

    1. Cut the bananas in half lengthwise, then in half again to get 4 pieces. If using large bananas, cut in half then cut into 5 cm lengths.
    2. In a pot, cook the coconut milk until it boils. Add the bananas and cook gently until soft. Add the sugar and salt. After the sugar dissolves, add the coconut cream.
    3. Remove from heat and place in a bowl. Serve the bananas and sauce warm and enjoy!
