About this recipe: This sauteed vegetable is a common side dish seen on most tables at dinner time. It is easy to make too.

Serves: 4 

  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • One handful pak boong/water spinach cut into finger lengths
  • 2 tablespoons yellow bean sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground white pepper

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:10min 

  1. Fry the garlic in a hot wok until fragrant and browned. Add the pak boong and quickly fry for 5 seconds. Add the yellow bean sauce and cook until hot.
  2. To serve, place on a plate and garnish with the white pepper.

Altered ingredient amounts. This dish is so delicious and nutritious too. I like to add light soy sauce and a spoonful of sugar to the dish too... must be my sweet tooth. - 14 Dec 2009
