About this recipe:
This fried potato cake is usually served with soto ayam dish or it can be eaten as a side with rice. You can make it vegetarian or add minced meat into the patty
300g minced beef (optional)
10 shallots, sliced thinly
4 green onions, chopped
2 eggs, beaten
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying
- Boil potatoes and mash in bowl. Saute the shallots till golden brown, drain and set aside to cool.
- Add the minced beef, chopped green onions, shallots, salt and pepper to the mash potatoes. Stir in the eggs and mix well.
- Form mixture into round patties about 4cm in diameter. Roll the patties lightly in flour.
- Heat oil in pan until hot and fry the patties until cooked on both sides. Drain and set aside for serving.
