120g rice flour
120g glutinous rice flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
375ml (1 1/2 cups) water
In a large mixing bowl, mix both the rice flours, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the water and mix thoroughly. The batter will be thick.
Fill puto molds (or small muffin molds) about 2/3 full.
Steam the puto in a steamer for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when tested. It is delicious hot or cold.
