About this recipe: Although time consuming to make, this sweet treat is truly delicious.

Serves: 10 

  • 240g flour
  • 125g milk powder
  • 200g sugar
  • 3 teaspoons lemon flavoring
  • 450g butter, melted
  • Wax paper for wrapping, cut into 10cm squares

  1. In a non stick skillet, toast the flour until it turns light brown, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Let cool.
  2. When cool, add the milk powder, sugar, lemon flavouring and butter. Mix well.
  3. Using a polvoron mold with a plunger, fill the mold tightly with the mixture. Then press the plunger onto a wax paper square.
  4. Wrap the candy in the wax paper and twist the ends. Repeat until all the mixture is used up.
