About this recipe: This prawn dish can be an everyday dish or prepared when expecting company.

Serves: 5 

  • 1 lb (1/2 kg) fresh large prawns
  • 2 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 60g flour

  1. Remove heads and shells from prawns, leaving tail intact. Devein shrimp by slicing the back to remove vein.
  2. Toss prawns in soya sauce, lemon juice and salt and pepper. Set aside for 30 minutes.
  3. Roll prawns in beaten eggs, dip in flour and deep fry in medium hot oil until brown. Serve hot.
