Barbecued Pork Kebabs

    This pork kebab recipe is great for parties outside especially picnics.

    Serves: 10 

    • 2 kg pork
    • 200g sugar
    • 250ml soya sauce
    • 1 medium onion, diced
    • 5 cloves garlic
    • 1 tsp ground pepper
    • 1 pkg bamboo skewers

    1. Soak bamboo skewers in water overnight. This will prevent them from burning when barbecuing.
    2. Slice pork thin to pieces about 4x4 cm.
    3. In a big bowl, mix all other ingredients making sure the sugar and salt are completely dissolved.
    4. Add sliced pork to this marinade and let sit for at least 2 hours or more, overnight if possible.
    5. Put pork on skewers. Barbecue on hot coals, about 2 minutes, turning over the skewers to prevent burning or overcooking.
    6. Serve hot on the skewers.
