About this recipe:Its all about the strawberries - only use fresh picked real strawberries, forget about supermarket strawberries! The strawberry pulp is discarded when you bottle the liqueur so have an occasion ready and use it on (or in!) icecream and is fantastic in champagne!
Hull the strawberries and lightly rinse, then put them in a glass jar. Add the other ingredients and seal the jar. Let steep in a cool place out of the sun for a month, gently shaking them once or twice a day. Remove the strawberries by gently pouring the liqueur through a wire mesh strainer and into a bowl. Let the strawberries drain well, then transfer the liqueur into a clear glass bottle, using a funnel and a piece of filter paper. Stopper the bottle. Can be used immediately or improves over time.
