    Palitaw is a malagkit/ Glutinous rice flour/Glutinous rice is being grind. It is a dessert with shreaded coconut/ descanated coconut,sesame seed and brown sugar/ mascuvado sugar as a toppings and taste, the malagkit rice,is first being rolled and flattened. After that it is being cooked in a boiling water and wait for it to rise or wait for it to be (lumitaw- as the name of it's self "Palitaw")

    Makes: 40 pieces

    • 1/2 kilogram Glutinous Rice Flour/Malagkit Rice Flour/Giniling na Malagkit na Bigas(Peotraco Glutinous Rice Flour-Optional for the Branded name)
    • Sesame Seeds Cooked(Sinangag or niluto sa mainit na kawali with no oil or water)-Being cooked in a low fired pan, with no oil and no water.
    • 1 or 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar/ Mascuvado Sugar
    • 1 or 1/2 Cup Descanated Shredded Coconut
    • 2 1/2 cups of Water if you use (Peotraco Glutinous Rice Flour 1/2 Kilogram one pack)
    • Water for the pan to cook the malagkit rice

    1. In a large bowl,pour Peotraco Glutinous Rice Flour make a well, and add 2 1/2 cups of water.
    2. Mix all in all corporately until you have a dough texture. When all in all is mix together make sure that your hands is clean and dry.
    3. Scoop a spoon about 1 1/2 table spoon and roll it make it a ball,and flattened it gently make sure that it is not too thin, just the right size.
    4. After all is being rolled and flattened, Take a Big pan, like the one that is being used in spaghetti or making pasta,or a pressure cooker, but you must remove the cover so that the smoked will not explode,and pour some many water.
    5. Bring the water to a boil, after the water is being boiled put the flattened rice flour, and let it cook,wait for it to be rise like (lumitaw sa tubig)-being rise in the water,make this all repeatedly and make sure it is being rise or (lumitaw sa tubig)
    6. After the Malagkit na Bigas or Glutinous Rice Flour is being cooked set aside, and make the toppings.
    7. In another pan, pour all the Sesame Seeds,make sure that the fire is in low heat,because when you use a high or medium fire the Sesame Seeds will get burned. Use a wooden spoon to cook it in a pan, and stir it continuously after the sesame seed is being cooked set it aside in a glass bowl, and let it be cool.
    8. Pour the Descanated Shredded Coconut into a separate glass bowl.
    9. Pour the Brown Sugar or Mascuvado Sugar in a separate glass bowl .
    10. To assemble first you put the Brown sugar /Mascuvado sugar,Sesame Seed,and the Descanated Shredded Coconut one by one into your Malagkit na Bigas or Cooked Flattened Glutinous Rice Flour.
    11. You can also put the Sesame Seed,Brown Sugar/Mascuvado Sugar,Descanated Shredded Coconut, and mix them all in a separate glass bowl if you want.
    12. Or if you don't want to put Descanated Shredded Coconut, you can put the toppings in a separate glass bowl so that you can choose if you want to add sugar, sesame seeds, and descanated coconut in your dessert.


    If you use Peotraco Glutinous Rice flour 1/2 Kilogram pack you can make 40 Pieces all in all.
