Black Pepper Udon

esthermakwaiyin Japanese udon noodles fried with black pepper to taste, ideal for a quick land filling lunch.

Ingredients

  • 2 packet of udon (available in major supermarket)
  • 5 pieces of medium size prawns
  • 100 g of chicken meat or pork (chop in cubes)
  • 1 Green bell pepper (cubes form)
  • Some Cabbages (cut finely)
  • Carrots (diced)
  • Shallots and Onion (diced)
  • 2 tablespoon of black soy sauce (thick ones)
  • 1 tablespoon of grounded black pepper
  • Salt, pepper and soy sauce to taste
  • Water

Preparation method

1.
Pour some cooking oil into the wok, put in shallots and onions when its hot enough. Stir until it turn brownish then add in marinated prawn (marinate with salt, pepper and soy sauce.) and after that add in the meat.

Stir fry the ingredient about 3 to 5 minutes then add on green bell pepper, carrots and cabbage and fried until its partially cook.

Dash in salt and pepper to taste with right amount of water for the vegetables to simmer in.
4.
Then put in the udon and add black soy sauce and black pepper. Stir fried well until the ingredients and noodles are well mixed.
5.
Check the udon colour it should all be well rounded with dark black sauce and the black pepper evenly distributed. Serve with chilli padi or chilli sauce.
